The Beedle and The Bard

The Tales of Beedle the Bard first appeared as a fictional book in J. K. Rowling's 2007 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final novel of the Harry Potter series. The book is bequeathed to Hermione Granger by Albus Dumbledore, former headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is described as a popular collection of Wizarding children's fairy tales, so that while Ron Weasley is familiar with the stories, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger had not previously heard of them due to their non-magical upbringing.[2]
The book Hermione receives in Dumbledore's will is a copy of the original edition of the fictional book.[10] It is described as an ancient-looking small book with its binding "stained and peeling in places". In the novel it is also said the book has a title on its cover, written in embossed runic symbols.[2]
The book acts as the vehicle for introducing the Deathly Hallows.[6] Above the story "The Tale of the Three Brothers", Hermione Granger finds a strange symbol which later is revealed by Xenophilius Lovegood to be the symbol of the Hallows. The triangle from the symbol represents the Invisibility Cloak, the circle inside the triangle symbolises the Resurrection Stone, and the vertical line represents the Elder Wand.[10]
These three objects are also mentioned in the story itself (see below), and are said to belong to the Peverell brothers,[10] who are later revealed as being Harry Potter's ancestors.[11] Towards the end of the novel, Albus Dumbledore also confirms Harry's connection to the Peverells, and states that the three brothers might in fact have been the creators of the Hallows.[12]
The introduction (written by Rowling) to the publications released in December 2008 mentions that the fictional character Beedle the Bard was born in Yorkshire, lived in the 15th century, and had "an exceptionally luxuriant beard".[13][14]

What Happened to Forever?

I lost a friend a few weeks back, (Lets call her Alice) she was my everything, but oneday she decided i wasnt her everything anymore. I know your wondering what this has to do with Harry Potter, but Harry Potter helped me forget everything, even just for a little while. I could sit and read and forget about everything that was happening with Alice, and just be with my Hogwarts friends. Now i've got myself sounding like a loner but it gets better. My love of Harry Potter brought me closer to two of the most amazing people, im proud to call my best friends. They then helped me even more, to forget about Alice (who didnt like Harry Potter :o) and what she had done. I know they lost a bit to be my friend, and im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo grateful that i have them. I just wan to say the worlds biggest Thank-you to them, My new Everything. <3

Dumbledore's Army.

Welcome :)

A couple of my friends and I are obsessed with Harry Potter. One day we realised there are no real blogs that help people understand how Harry Potter can change your life. So we created this blog, Dumbledore's Army (Created by Harry, Hermoine and Ron in 'The Order of The Phoenix'), for fellow Potter supporters, for those who kind of like our friend Harry, and for those that are yet to discover the magic that lays in Harry Potter's story. Harry Potter is for anyone. Doesnt matter what age, what gender, what race, Harry potter is for everyone. Once your read/watch Harry Potter he never really leaves you. Sometimes I find myself thinking "What would Harry Do?". Harry is more then a character. He is everyones Best Friend.

Life with Harry

Im ashamed to admit this but, i used to be a Twilight fan. One day that all changed. My best friend came up to me and handed me a book. I carefully turned it over and found it to be a very lvoed copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I went home, sat on my bed and read. I read for hours. I didnt get up untill i had read my new favourite book cover to cover. That day was the day i stoped being a Twihard and became a Potterhead. All togehter it too me 1 month and 10 days to follow harry's story to the very end. So together with a few friends, im here to help others discover Harry's Magic, and hopefully watch them fall in love with Harry like i did.
